How We Protect You

AI-Verified Authentication

Every item is analyzed by AI for identification accuracy, condition assessment, and fair market valuation based on real sold data — not inflated asking prices.

Transparent Pricing

Prices are based on verified eBay sold listings and price guide data. You can see the AI confidence score and comparable sales for every item.

Secure Payments

All payments processed through Stripe with buyer protection. Your payment info never touches our servers.

Seller Verification

Every seller account is verified via email. Sellers are held to our community standards and can be suspended for bad behavior.

Photo Documentation

Multiple photos required for each item showing front, back, and condition details. What you see is what you get.

Platform Fee = Accountability

Our 5% platform fee funds dispute resolution, fraud detection, and shelter donations. Sellers with clean records earn fee reductions.

Dispute Resolution

If something goes wrong with a transaction, we have a structured process to resolve it fairly.

Contact the Seller

Within 48 hours of delivery

Reach out to the seller directly through our messaging system. Most issues are resolved at this stage.

Open a Dispute

If unresolved after 3 days

File a formal dispute. Both parties submit evidence (photos, messages, tracking). The item must not be altered or discarded.

Platform Review

5 business days

Our team reviews evidence from both sides. We may request additional photos or documentation.

Resolution

Binding decision

We issue a ruling: full refund, partial refund, or no refund. Repeat offenders face account suspension.

Returns & Refunds

Item Not as Described

Full refund including return shipping if the item materially differs from the listing photos and description. The buyer must return the item in the same condition received within 7 days of the dispute ruling.

Item Damaged in Transit

Full refund. Buyers must photograph damage immediately upon receipt before opening packaging. Sellers are responsible for adequate packing materials. We recommend insurance for items over $100.

Item Not Received

Full refund if tracking shows no delivery within 14 days of shipping. Sellers must provide valid tracking for all shipments.

Change of Mind

No returns for change of mind. Collectibles are unique items. Review all photos and descriptions carefully before purchasing. Offers are binding once accepted.

Shipping Requirements for Sellers

  • • Ship within 3 business days of payment
  • • Provide valid tracking number from USPS, UPS, or FedEx
  • • Use appropriate packaging (rigid mailers for comics, bubble wrap for figures)
  • • Insurance recommended for items over $100
  • • Signature confirmation required for items over $250

Prohibited & Seller Standards

Prohibited Items

Counterfeits, reproductions sold as originals, stolen property, items with hazardous materials (lead paint, asbestos), weapons, and any items violating intellectual property laws.

Seller Obligations

  • • Accurate descriptions — disclose all defects, damage, and restoration
  • • Accurate photos — no stock images, must be of the actual item
  • • Honest grading — follow industry-standard condition guidelines
  • • Timely communication — respond to buyer inquiries within 24 hours
  • • No shill bidding or fake offers to inflate perceived demand

Consequences

First offense: warning. Second offense: 30-day suspension. Third offense: permanent ban. Fraud or counterfeits: immediate permanent ban and report to authorities.

Legal Disclaimers

Platform Role: King George Collectibles operates as a marketplace facilitating transactions between independent buyers and sellers. We are not a party to individual transactions and do not take title to any items listed.

AI Valuations: Pricing estimates generated by our AI system are informational only, based on publicly available sold data. They do not constitute professional appraisals. Actual market value may differ. Users should conduct their own research for high-value items.

Condition Assessments: AI-generated condition grades are estimates based on photographs. For items over $500, we recommend professional grading (CGC, AFA, CAS, etc.).

Liability: The platform is not liable for misrepresentation by sellers, shipping damage, or losses beyond the transaction amount. Our dispute resolution process is the sole remedy for transaction issues.

Privacy: We collect only the information necessary to facilitate transactions. Payment data is handled entirely by Stripe and never stored on our servers. See our Privacy Policy for details.
